About the blog

'Eye on the world' is a blog written by staff in the Department of Geography at the National University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM). Our plan is to use the blog as a means to keep an eye on the world. We plan to post stories about geography in the news, geographers in the news, news stories that are especially geographic, or stories we feel should connect with a large swathe of our student body.
