Julia Hall

 Julia Hall]

Biography:

Julia is originally from Germany. She came to Ireland the fist time in 2005 as an exchange student in Maynooth. For her academic year abroad (2005-2006), she was awarded a ‘Baden-Württemberg Scholarship’ by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (Germany). Back to Germany, Julia graduated in 2008 from Eberhardt Karls Universität, Tübingen, Germany in Geo-Ecology (Diplom-Geoökologin).

She is now pursuing her doctorate degree under the supervision of Dr Conor Murphy and Professor John Sweeney.

PhD Title
Incorporating Climate Change Considerations into Adaptation Planning for Water Resources in Ireland
Description of Project:

Julia’s research project is part of a wider research project – The ‘Co-ordination, Communication and Adaptation for Climate Change in Ireland: an Integrated Approach’ - being undertaken by various members of ICARUS.

Her part of the research project focuses on the assessment of the impact of climate change on water resources for strategic locations in Ireland. Julia aims to evaluate how climate change will affect water resources and water supply within Ireland. Another aim of her research is to identify and assess adaptation and management options for specific time horizons to provide information to policy and decision makers in adaptation planning.

Supervisor:
Dr Conor Murphy
